The simple way is to start blogging about something you are passionate about. And add affiliate links to different widget stores ( ex. Amazon Associates, ebay, jabong etc.) in your blog posts.

There are many affiliate programs including Google AdSense, Commission Junction and LinkShare. 

Perhaps the most important thing when you are doing this is that you only embed the links to products or services you would honestly recommend to others.
